Well, I went to make a few changes to the website and ended up building a WordPress theme.
It’s called Imagewake, and it’s now running here on Motumbo.Net.
I wanted a better place to show the things I’ve been working on. The tools, the games, the artwork, and whatever random idea I decide to spend several days figuring out. So I started changing things, and then kept changing things, and here we are.
The homepage is probably the biggest difference. Instead of a few images sitting in fixed positions, they now fade in and out in random places, at different sizes, overlapping each other. I wasn’t sure how that idea would look when we started, but it ended up being one of my favorite parts of the whole site.
Here’s what else got updated:
- A Work page that brings the projects together, with links to try them and read about how they came together.
- Featured projects on the homepage, so you can check out something I’ve built without digging through posts.
- A proper gallery for artwork and screenshots, with search, portrait and landscape filters, and larger image previews.
- Cleaner post layouts, including images that actually show the whole image. Seems like a reasonable thing to want.
- A simpler Work with me page. No extra form. If you have something in mind, just email me.
- Social links in the footer, so you can find me on Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, and Discord.
- Better layouts for smaller screens, so the site works when you’re checking it out on your phone.

The Collection Tracker, Cube Pack Simulator, Yukifyer, and the other tools are still here. You can find them under the Work menu.

I also wanted Imagewake to be something other people could use, so a lot of this can be changed directly in WordPress. The homepage text, images, project credits, social links, and contact page can all be edited. You can choose which projects show up in Work, which ones get featured, and which images appear in the gallery.
The plan is to eventually make the theme available for sale. Still some things to figure out there, but getting it running on my own site is a pretty good start.
That’s probably what I enjoy most about all of these projects. I don’t always know how to build the thing when I start. I just know I want the thing to exist, and then I figure it out.
Anyway, take a look around. Try a tool, check out the gallery, and let me know what you think.
I’m sure I’ll keep making little improvements, because apparently leaving things alone is not one of my skills.
